Meat Pie Instructions
Note: MacEwans Meat Pies are fully cooked when purchased, heating is for serving recommendation.
Cook from frozen. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place pie on cooking tray or dish. Cook for approximately 40 to 45 minutes until internal temperature is 165 F. Or remove tin and cook in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes. Heating times may vary.
Note: MacEwans Haggis is already boiled when purchased, heating is for serving recommendation.
Thaw haggis. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place haggis in tinfoil and gather foil loosely. Add ½ inch water and close ends of foil together. Place on a cooking tray or dish in the middle of oven. Cook for approximately 20 to 25 minutes per pound. If swelling during cooking – pierce skin to remove steam. For serving cut skin and scoop out haggis. Heating times may vary.

Slice open thawed MacEwans Haggis and place in bowl. Mix in your choice and amount of whisky. Roll into balls and lightly cover in flour. Let sit in fridge for one hour. Dredge balls in egg/water mixture and then roll in breadcrumbs to cover completely. Deep fry in hot vegetable oil for 30 seconds until crispy. Serve hot or cold.
